Moving 101

Sally Flower • Dec 28, 2016
Planning on moving house, I recommend boxing up as much as you can. Moving kitchen appliances stuffed in laundry bags and plastic bags full coat hangers is hard! They don’t stack; they fall over, they can’t be labelled and take ages to load into a moving van, which is costly when paying by the hour. Coming from a person who has moved 12 times in 10 years, trust me, I have learnt the hard way!

Moving house, boxes are the professional organisers’ preferred way.

Organised wardrobes are easy to move, keep clothes on the hangers and pack into suitcases.

Suitcases are great for clothes; I even leave my wardrobe on the hangers & load them straight into the cases. Everything else, pack it in a box. The only things left should be brooms, plants and big wall hangings. You can buy recycled boxes from Bunnings, IKEA and online. It will make the whole experience easier! I promise.
